To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the debut Takeover 12" , Takeover Recordings presents "Takeover 2011" - ten tracks of diverse rhythmic electronix from a range of Takeover associates. Since the first waves of acid house hit Ireland, electronic dance music has been an ever present part of the musical and social geography of this island of hedonists,geniuses, entrepeneurs, and mavericks. Takeover 2011 showcases 11 producers with their personal responses to the range of influences they've been exposed too, from the raw, dark electro of Roguefrequency and the analogue machine funk of ESS(aka DeFeKt), through the intricate yet wild compositions of The Person and Swarm Intelligence, to the contemporary bass music stylings of T-Polar and Eomac.
